Scalping means opening and closing trades within seconds or minutes, and not every prop firm allows it. This page lists firms whose own website says scalping is allowed and that set no minimum holding time that rules it out. We do not measure spreads or execution speed; check the firm's published spreads and commissions, and test the platform on a trial or during the evaluation.

The biggest red flag for scalpers is firms that impose minimum trade duration rules (e.g., trades must be held for at least 2 minutes). This effectively bans scalping strategies. You also want to check for consistency rules — some firms require that your largest winning trade doesn't exceed a certain percentage of total profits, which can penalise scalpers who occasionally catch large moves.

Platform choice matters for scalping. MetaTrader 5 and cTrader both offer one-click trading; execution speed and slippage depend on the firm's set-up, so test the platform on a trial or during the evaluation before relying on it.
