Overview

Plutus Trade Base (PTB) sells five programmes: 1 Step Lightning, 1 Step Freedom, the Adventure Challenge, the 2 Step Challenge and Instant Funding. Lightning, Freedom and Adventure are one-step evaluations, the 2 Step Challenge has two phases, and Instant Funding has no evaluation phase. Prices are mostly shown in euros; most plans are one-time fees, while Lightning adds an activation fee on passing.

The firm's pages say its accounts are simulated: "PTB Trader Accounts are simulated environments, and any payout information is for educational demonstration purposes only." The terms add that "A Funded Account remains a simulated demo account". The pages name Triple Edge Group LTD, a Cyprus company (No. HE465348), as the operator, and PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD, a Saint Lucia company, as the operator of the MT5 platform only.

The firm's pages give conflicting figures in several places, including prices, profit targets, profit splits and drawdown types. We flag each conflict below and say which figure we used.

Everything in this review comes from Plutus Trade Base's own web pages, saved on 10 October 2026. Rules and prices change, so check the firm's site before you buy.

Programmes and Prices

Each programme page shows a site-wide discount banner, and the programme pages show most prices next to a higher struck-through price. The prices below are the prices shown on 10 October 2026, which the firm presented as discounted. We do not know how long they will apply.

The FAQ also lists "Lightning Access 1-Step · €5 start (promo account)".

The Adventure page gives two prices: one line says "A $500,000 funded account for €129", while its price box shows "One Time Fee €199". We used €199, which the FAQ also states.

Trading Rules by Programme

We took the rules below mainly from the FAQ, which names the programme for each rule, and from each programme's own page.

ProgrammeProfit targetMaximum drawdownDaily loss limitMinimum days

The FAQ explains that static drawdown "is measured from your fixed starting balance and does not move", while trailing drawdown "follows your account's peak and rises as your balance grows". The terms say the Daily Loss Limit is measured on equity, including floating profit or loss.

Other programme rules and conflicts

  • Lightning: the FAQ lists a maximum 2% risk per trade on funded accounts. The Lightning page says "No Best-Day Rule in Challenge".
  • Freedom: the Freedom page says profit becomes withdrawable once the funded balance is above a 3% buffer, and that a "Skill Score" sets the withdrawable amount. The same page says "No deadline — take your time". Parts of the Freedom page also show a 5% target and a 5% loss limit, while the same page also says the challenge loss limit is static at 10%. We used the 10% figures, which the site FAQ also gives. The Freedom page also says "No daily loss limit" without naming the stage.
  • Adventure: the page lists a "Stable Daily Average" of 0.2%. It also shows an 8% target in one line and a 4% target elsewhere; we used 4%, which the FAQ also states.
  • Instant: the FAQ gives a 10% trailing drawdown, but the Instant page also says "Static 4% Drawdown". We used the FAQ figure.
  • Leverage: the FAQ says up to 100x on Lightning and Freedom and up to 50x on Instant.

Restrictions and Prohibited Strategies

  • News and EAs on Lightning: the FAQ says news trading is permitted on Lightning and EAs are allowed for normal, non-HFT strategies. The home page instead shows news trading as "Allowed (add-on)" without naming a programme.
  • Adventure: the page says news trading is allowed once funded. The FAQ says high-frequency trading and copy trading are not permitted on Adventure, and EAs and bots are not permitted on Adventure funded accounts.
  • Instant: news trading, EAs and bots, high-frequency trading and holding positions over the weekend are not permitted.
  • Weekend holding on Freedom: the Freedom page says "By default, positions are closed at the end of the daily session." It describes an option that "lifts that restriction and lets you hold through sessions and over weekends", but our capture does not show what that option is or whether it costs extra.
  • High-frequency trading: the terms define it as more than 50 trades in a day where any trade is placed by an EA, or more than 100 manually executed trades in a day. The FAQ says automated high-frequency trading via an EA or bot "is never allowed on any plan".
  • Copy trading: the terms permit it only between the customer's own accounts, "never from any third party of any kind."
  • Practices the terms prohibit on all plans include taking advantage of price-feed delays, EAs designed for tick-scalping or correlated-account hedging, and placing multiple pending orders at identical levels to induce lag.
  • Hedging: the terms refer to "the ban on hedging", described as holding a long and a short position on the same instrument at the same time. The 2 Step page, by contrast, says "Automate, hedge, trade news." We treat the terms as the binding rule.
  • Risk per trade: the terms say the customer "must not place more than two percent (2%) of the Account balance at risk on a single trade"; a first breach is a Soft Breach and a second a Hard Breach.

Payouts and Scaling

Profit split

  • Lightning: the FAQ says Lightning pays a 70% split by default, rising to 95% with the optional Profit-Split add-on. The Lightning page itself says "up to 95%".
  • Freedom, Adventure and Instant: the FAQ says each pays up to a 95% split. The Adventure and Instant pages also mention "up to 90%" in places.
  • 2 Step: the page shows a split of up to 95%.
  • The terms describe the split as "a discretionary performance-based reward of up to a 95% profit split", subject to review and approval.

Payout timing

  • Freedom: payouts are approved automatically without manual review and, per the Freedom page, sent "in under 24 hours". The FAQ describes Freedom payouts as daily.
  • Lightning: the page says the first payout is after 7 days.
  • Adventure: the page says "You can withdraw funds anytime, with no limits on how much or how often."
  • Instant: the FAQ says payouts are processed on demand within 24–48 hours with a $100 minimum. The Instant page instead says "FAST PAYOUTS WITHOUT MINIMUM" and describes weekly payouts after the first week.
  • In general terms the FAQ says "By default you can withdraw every 14 days, or at any time with the Withdraw-Anytime add-on", and that the minimum withdrawal is $100 on every plan.
  • The terms say timing depends on the payment provider. The Company verifies each customer's identity before the first payout.

Methods and fees

Payouts go to a bank in local currency via Rise (140+ countries) or to a crypto wallet in USDT (TRC-20). A provider processing fee may apply: up to 2.75% for Rise and up to 4% for other providers. Rewards are processed by PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD through its approved payment providers.

Fee refund and scaling

The FAQ says that after the third payout PTB refunds the fee paid to obtain the funded account. The terms describe a fee "refunded together with the 3rd reward"; our capture does not show clearly which plans this covers.

For scaling, the FAQ says a trader who achieves at least double the initial profit target (for example 12% against a 6% target) while staying fully compliant for seven consecutive days can request a Scale-Up by emailing support. The terms define scaling as increasing a trader's simulated account size or payout potential. Instant plans are excluded from scaling unless expressly offered in writing.

Platforms and Markets

The FAQ lists TradeLocker, cTrader, Match Trader, DXtrade and TradingView, operated by Triple Edge Group LTD, plus MetaTrader 5, operated by PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD. The Freedom page says "You choose at checkout: MT5 or TradeLocker."

Instruments listed on the Freedom page are forex majors and minors, indices (NAS100, SPX500, GER40, US30, UK100, JP225), commodities (gold, silver, US oil, UK oil), stocks on TradeLocker, and major crypto CFDs.

US traders: the terms say MT5 is not available to U.S. persons and that "U.S. Customers participate only through TradeLocker." The home page instead says US traders get access to TradeLocker, TradingView, cTrader, Match Trader and DXtrade, and elsewhere that MT5 and cTrader are not available for clients in the USA. Because the terms are the narrower statement, US traders should confirm platform access before buying.

Company and Terms

The terms name Triple Edge Group LTD, incorporated in the Republic of Cyprus (Company No. HE465348), with a registered office in Limassol. They also name PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD, incorporated in Saint Lucia (Reg. No. 2025-00638), with a registered office in Gros-Islet. The home page says the PlutusTradeBase brand is owned by PTB Plutus TradeBase LTD.

The home page states "Cyprus-licensed. Operated by Triple Edge Group LTD." The pages we saved do not say which licence this refers to. The terms state that "Neither company is a bank, financial institution, investment firm, broker or payment institution".

The terms say every account balance is "a virtual, simulated figure allocated by the Company for evaluation purposes only", and the pages say users do not deposit trading capital. The Instant page, however, describes Instant as "a real funded account", and the home page calls it "a live funded account". We rely on the terms: funded accounts are simulated.

Refunds: a purchase is refundable only if unused, meaning the account has not been logged into or activated within 14 days of purchase. Payments made by cryptocurrency, or by other methods that do not support refunds, cannot be refunded through that channel.

Restricted countries: the programme pages say Triple Edge Group LTD does not provide services to residents of Cuba, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, North Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Myanmar. The terms give a longer list that also includes, among others, Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, Congo (Brazzaville), Guinea, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan. We could not see the full terms list in our capture.

Marketing claims: the site says Plutus Trade Base has been "funding serious traders since 2024". The Freedom page shows a banner reading "$500,374 paid to 142 traders this week". The same page states that "All testimonials, compensation data, or performance results displayed on the PlutusTradeBase platform are hypothetical".

Who It Suits

  • Traders who want a static drawdown in both stages may look at Lightning, which uses static drawdown throughout.
  • Traders who want frequent withdrawals may look at Freedom, whose payouts the firm says are approved automatically.
  • Traders who use EAs or trade news should avoid Instant, where both are not permitted.
  • Because several pages disagree, anyone considering PTB should check the specific programme page and the terms at checkout.
