Overview

Eightcap Challenges sells simulated trading challenges in three formats: One Phase, Two Phase and Day Trader Challenges. One Phase and Two Phase accounts range from $5,000 to $200,000 and are bought with a one-time entry fee. Day Trader Challenges are short sessions of 1 to 8 hours on a $10,000 simulated account, where the trader chooses a stake and a payout multiplier.

The firm says trading takes place in a simulated environment and profits during the simulated stages are virtual. Once a trader reaches the Payout stage, it says performance determines real, withdrawable payouts, provided all rules and conditions are met. On One Phase and Two Phase, the standard profit share is 80%; a Profit Split add-on bought at checkout raises it to 90%.

The website says it is operated by Eightcap International Ltd, a company incorporated in Seychelles, and that the challenge products are not part of any regulated financial services the company provides. Trading is on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, TradingView or TradeLocker, but MetaTrader is not available to US clients.

Everything in this review comes from Eightcap Challenges' own web pages, saved on 7–9 October 2026. Rules and prices change, so check the firm's site before you buy.

Programmes and prices

One Phase has a single assessment stage before the Payout stage. Two Phase has an Assessment stage and a Qualification stage before the Payout stage. Day Trader Challenges are a separate, time-limited format described further down.

One Phase and Two Phase prices are a one-time entry fee; the FAQ says there are no monthly fees. The home page listed these prices:

Account sizeOne Phase fee (one-time)Two Phase fee (one-time)
$5,000$69$59
$10,000$119$99
$25,000$259$219
$50,000$429$389
$100,000$659$599
$200,000$1,299$1,199

The checkout page showed $1,299 for the $200,000 One Phase account, the same as the home page. Payment is by Visa or Mastercard, or in TRC20, ERC20 or BTC cryptocurrency. The firm does not offer free or trial accounts. It does not refund challenge fees. If you buy the wrong challenge, the FAQ says support can help switch it to a different challenge type or give a coupon toward a larger account size.

Add-ons (One Phase and Two Phase)

The checkout offers five paid add-ons:

  • Earlier Payout: payout after 7 days instead of 14.
  • 3 Day Payout: payout after 3 days instead of 14.
  • Profit Split: 90% of profits instead of 80%.
  • Insurance: one reset to the initial balance after failing the Assessment or Qualification stage; not usable in the Payout stage.
  • Insurance - Payout: one reset to the initial balance after failing the Payout stage.

The home page also advertises a Bundle that combines add-ons at a lower price. The pages we saved do not show add-on prices. Add-ons can also be bought later from the dashboard for eligible One Phase and Two Phase challenges during the Assessment and Qualification stages.

One Phase and Two Phase rules

The home page lists these rules for every account size:

The Two Phase targets above apply to accounts created on or after 23 February; the FAQ gives 10% and 8% for older accounts. Two Phase accounts created before 11 February are not subject to the profit cap.

How the limits are measured

The daily loss limit is balance-based: a percentage of the previous day's balance. The account is breached if the equity loss during the day exceeds it. The daily limit resets at 01:00 UTC+3 or UTC+2, depending on the time of year. The maximum loss is a fixed percentage of the initial balance; if balance or equity falls below it, the account is breached and terminated. The same FAQ section also describes floating drawdown as the difference between the highest equity achieved and current equity, including open trades.

Under the profit distribution rule, only the part of a day's profit above the limit is excluded; the rest still counts toward the target or payout. A trade must stay open for at least 60 seconds for that day to count as a trading day. Trades opened within a 30-second window are treated as one position. The home-page FAQ says an account is terminated if no trades are placed for 30 consecutive days.

Position limits, leverage and costs

The home-page FAQ allows up to 10 open trades at once, with a maximum of 40 lots per trade on forex, 10 on commodities and 20 on indices. Separate per-symbol exposure limits apply, for example 100 lots on forex pairs (excluding USDCNH), 30 lots on gold, 10 on silver and 5 on BTCUSD. Leverage on One Phase and Two Phase is 1:100 on forex, 1:20 on commodities, 1:30 on indices and 1:3 on crypto, and cannot be changed. Commission is $0 on crypto and $5 per lot on all other instruments. The firm says it offers RAW account spreads from 0.0 pips.

Day Trader challenges

In a Day Trader Challenge you choose a stake of $5 to $500, a trading window of 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours (DT-1 to DT-8) and a payout multiplier of 2x, 5x or 10x. Every challenge starts with a $10,000 simulated balance. The timer starts at purchase, whether or not you are logged in. The profit target is a fixed dollar amount based on the $10,000 balance, and the page says targets change with the time limit and multiplier selected.

A profit allocation rule limits how much of the target one symbol or one asset class can supply; profit above those limits is excluded. The page's example settings show a 40% symbol limit and a 60% asset class limit. You may trade only one Day Trader Challenge at a time; trading two at once breaches both accounts.

If you pass, the payout is your stake multiplied by the chosen multiplier; the firm calls this a 100% profit share. A payout can be requested immediately after completion, the minimum payout is $10, and there is one payout per challenge. You must also stay within a drawdown limit; the page's example shows a $28 drawdown alongside a $56 profit target, and breaching the drawdown limit ends the challenge. If the target is not met, the challenge ends and nothing is paid.

Day Trader leverage is 1:30 on forex, 1:10 on commodities and indices, 1:2 on crypto and 1:5 on US stocks. Commission is $0 on crypto, $2 per lot at open and close on US stocks, and $5 per lot at open on other instruments. The Day Trader FAQ lists MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and TradeLocker as its platforms. Eightcap's Challenges page on its broker website tells Day Trader buyers to log into MT4, MT5, TradingView or TradeLocker before buying; we have followed the Day Trader page.

Restrictions and prohibited strategies

Expert Advisors and indicators are allowed, but these strategies are prohibited:

  • Martingale, grid trading and tick trading
  • Hedging, across different accounts or between accounts
  • Copy trading with other traders
  • Latency arbitrage and reverse arbitrage
  • Gap trading and account management

The firm defines hedging broadly: it includes opposing exposure to the same asset through different pairs, such as long EURUSD and long USDJPY, and offsetting positions in correlated instruments. Gap trading is not allowed. It covers trades opened or closed around session opens to profit from price gaps, and can include positions held through a session close that materially benefit from the reopening.

News trading is restricted. The home-page FAQ bans trades 10 minutes before or after high-impact events, while the FAQ on the Day Trader page says 5 minutes. A mistaken news trade is a soft breach: a warning and loss of the profit from those trades, with the account staying active. Hard breaches, such as prohibited strategies, lead to immediate closure and loss of any profits.

Copying another trader is banned, but you may copy trades between your own accounts if they are registered under the same email address. Social trading tools are not permitted. No one else may trade your account. You must trade from the same IP address. A VPN or VPS is allowed if it is a paid VPN or private VPS, and you must tell support before requesting a withdrawal. Multiple profiles under different email addresses are prohibited.

Swing trading is permitted. The FAQ says the platform supports trading at any time, including weekends, and that trades can be held for as long as you wish while you follow the rules. Positions held over a session close may still be classed as gap trading if they are structured around the close and materially benefit from the reopening.

Payouts and scaling

One Phase and Two Phase payouts

On the Payout stage, the payout waiting period is 14 days; the Earlier Payout add-on cuts it to 7 days, and the 3 Day Payout add-on to 3 days. The minimum payout is $100 after the profit split; at 80%, that means at least $125 of profit. After each approved payout, the balance resets to the initial simulated amount. Profit above the per-cycle cap is forfeited at that reset. Partial payouts are not supported. Trading is paused while a payout request is reviewed, and only one payout request can be active at a time.

Methods, fees and timing (all programmes)

Payouts are made by bank wire in USD or in USDT TRC20, USDT ERC20 or BTC. Amounts below $100 can only be paid in cryptocurrency. Fees are 1% of the amount for crypto and a flat $50 per bank wire. The FAQ says payouts are typically processed within 2 business days; another answer says 1–2 business days after the payout certificate, plus 4–5 business days or more for international bank transfers to arrive. Payouts are processed on business days only. Identity verification (KYC) is required once total payouts exceed $1,000. Risk checks are run on every withdrawal request.

Scaling and capital limits

Under the scaling plan, Eightcap can raise an account balance by 25%, up to a maximum balance of $1 million. To qualify you need at least 15% in payouts within 4 months, at least 2 profitable months in that window and a positive balance when you apply. Approval is at the firm's discretion and is not guaranteed. Separately, the FAQ caps the combined value of all active accounts at $600,000, and the home page advertises "$600k Max Capital". The pages do not explain how this limit relates to the $1 million scaling maximum.

Platforms and markets

One Phase and Two Phase can be traded on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, TradingView or TradeLocker, including their mobile apps. For residents of the US and its territories, the checkout says only TradingView and TradeLocker are available. A free TradingView account is enough to trade.

The FAQ lists forex, indices, commodities and cryptocurrency, with US stocks only in Day Trader Challenges. The same FAQ also answers "Do you offer stock trading?" with "No". Options trading is not offered. The home page advertises 200+ instruments.

Company and terms

The site footer says the website is operated by Eightcap International Ltd (Company No. 8427413-1), incorporated in Seychelles, with its registered address at Office 12, 3rd Floor, IMAD Complex, Ile Du Port, Mahé, Seychelles. It states that the challenge products do not fall within any licences the company may hold and that all activity is simulated, for educational purposes and for assessing trading strategies. Its FAQ describes the firm as "part of Eightcap, a globally regulated financial services provider".

Participants must be at least 18, and accounts must be in the trader's own legal name. The firm does not accept participants from Afghanistan, Belarus, Burundi, Central African Republic, Cuba, North Korea, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Guinea-Bissau or Haiti. Its restricted list also includes Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, Palestine, Russia (including Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk), Saint Lucia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, Yemen and Zimbabwe. US residents may not buy a challenge on MT4 or MT5.

At checkout, buyers agree that the company may use their performance data, certificates and testimonials, identified by first name or nickname, in marketing; the form says this consent can be withdrawn by written notice. The site links to General Terms and Conditions, Rules and Conditions and other policies. We did not have saved copies of those documents, so this review relies on the firm's FAQ, product and checkout pages.

Who it suits

One Phase and Two Phase may suit traders who want no time limit and a maximum loss fixed to the starting balance, and who can work within an 80% standard split, a per-cycle profit cap and a 14-day payout wait. US-based traders can take part only through TradingView or TradeLocker on One Phase and Two Phase; for Day Trader, the Day Trader page lists TradeLocker as its only non-MetaTrader platform. The Day Trader Challenge is a different product: a fixed stake, a 1 to 8 hour window and a set multiple of the stake if the target is reached. Traders who rely on hedging, grid or martingale methods, gap trading or trading around high-impact news will find these restricted.

MyPropGenius Rating

MyPropGenius Rating: 3.1/5 — its Transparency Index score of 62/100 ÷ 20, rounded down

The rating measures how openly Eightcap Challenges discloses its rules, pricing, payouts and ownership (our Transparency Index methodology). It does not measure how likely you are to pass or be paid.

Is Eightcap Challenges legit?

The footer names the operating entity, company number and Seychelles address, and states that the challenges are simulated and fall outside any licence the company holds. The operating company and the wider Eightcap group are named, but no founder, owner or team member is named; the 'People Behind The Challenges' section showed no names on the pages we read. There is no dedicated refund page, and we did not read the Terms & Conditions document it refers to. The homepage shows firm-issued payout certificates with amounts, account type and dates, plus trader payout stories. The earliest Internet Archive copy of challenges.eightcap.com is from 14 Nov 2025, and the site states no separate launch year: under one year.

Its Transparency Index score is 62/100 (Good). We do not verify payouts or test accounts; this is what the firm’s own pages show.

Eightcap Challenges publishes detailed rules for its One Phase and Two Phase challenges: one-time fees from $59, no time limit, a maximum loss fixed to the initial balance and an 80% standard split (90% with a paid add-on). The main limits are the per-cycle profit cap, the 14-day standard payout wait, payout fees and a long list of banned strategies, including broad hedging and gap-trading rules. The firm says all trading is simulated, and the site states its challenge products sit outside any licences held by its Seychelles operating company.
