Lucid Trading sells futures prop trading accounts. Its home page describes two routes: an evaluation, which it calls the lower-cost entry point, and Straight-to-Funded accounts that skip the evaluation. The help centre lists the LucidFlex, LucidDaily, LucidPro and LucidDirect plans, LucidMaxx and a live trading programme. It also has a section on a LucidBlack plan.
The firm says all its accounts are a one-time fee with no monthly subscription. We could not see account prices on any saved page, so this review does not quote them.
The Terms of Use say that trading through its services is not real and that the funds provided for simulated trading are fictitious. The Terms of Use are an agreement with Lucid Trading Group LLC, and say the website is for use only by persons located in the United States.
This review uses only Lucid Trading's own website and help centre as saved on 7–9 October 2026. Most pages could only be read through a fetch tool, so several topics, including prices and detailed payout rules, were not available to us. Where something is not covered below, we did not find it.
Everything in this review comes from Lucid Trading's own web pages, saved on 7–9 October 2026. Rules and prices change, so check the firm's site before you buy.

Lucid Trading offers evaluation accounts (LucidFlex and LucidPro) and Straight-to-Funded accounts (LucidDirect). The home page says the evaluation asks traders to prove consistency and risk management in a simulated account and, once passed, to move to a sim funded account. For Straight-to-Funded accounts, the home page says: “You pay a higher upfront cost, but you begin trading for real payouts on day one.”
The product pages we saved cover LucidFlex 25K, 50K, 100K and 150K; LucidPro 25K, 50K and 150K; LucidDirect 25K, 50K and 150K; and LucidBlack 50K. Several of these pages showed only the account name, so the rules table below covers only the accounts whose rules we could read. We saw no rule pages for LucidDaily, LucidBlack or LucidMaxx, and our saved pages do not confirm whether LucidBlack is still on sale.
The home page says: “All of our accounts are a one-time fee, we do not have monthly subscriptions for trading accounts.” It also says there are no monthly subscription or funded account activation fees. The About page says: “Pay once. No activation fees or monthly rebilling.”
The Terms of Use say prices and availability of products are subject to change without notice. The Terms of Use, which cover “subscription based services to trading tools, programs, and educational resources”, also say subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Our saved copy does not say which products this subscription wording applies to; the home page states that trading accounts are not monthly subscriptions.
The home page says the firm allows a maximum of five funded accounts per household.
The table shows the rules printed on each product page we could read. “Not shown” means the saved page did not list that item.
| Account | Profit target | Daily loss limit | Max loss limit | Trading days | Consistency rule | Max size |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LucidFlex 25K | $1,250 | None | $1,000 | Not shown | None | 2 minis or 20 micros |
| LucidFlex 100K | $6,000 | $1,800 (see note) | $3,000 | Not shown | None | 6 minis or 60 micros |
| LucidPro 25K | $1,250 | None | $1,000 | Not shown | None | 2 minis or 20 micros |
| LucidPro 50K | $3,000 | $1,200 | $2,000 | Not shown | None | 4 minis or 40 micros |
| LucidPro 150K | $9,000 | $2,700 | $4,500 | Not shown | None | 10 minis or 100 micros |
| LucidDirect 25K | $1,500 (initial) | None | $1,000 | 8 | 20% | 2 minis or 20 micros |
| LucidDirect 50K | $3,000 (initial) | $1,200 | $2,000 | 10 | 20% | 4 minis or 40 micros |
Every product page with rules labels the drawdown “EOD Drawdown”. The pages do not say whether this limit trails the balance or stays fixed, so we do not describe it either way.
The About page describes the goal as: “Hit sim profit targets without hitting max loss limit”.
For LucidPro, the About page says: “One-day pass, no consistency rules with LucidPro”. The LucidPro product pages show “Consistency Rule: None”.
The About page says “No daily loss limit with LucidFlex” and “Lose the consistency rules and daily loss with LucidFlex”. The LucidFlex 25K page agrees (“Daily Loss Limit: None”), but the LucidFlex 100K page shows “Daily Loss Limit: $1,800”. The firm's pages therefore disagree on the 100K account. The table uses the product page, which is the more specific source; check the live product page for the current rule.
The LucidDirect 25K and 50K pages call the target an “Initial Profit Target”, set a 20% consistency rule and list “Trading Days: 8” on the 25K account and “Trading Days: 10” on the 50K account. The pages do not say what the trading-day figure is a requirement for. The LucidDirect 150K page showed only its name. Our saved pages do not explain what happens after the initial target is reached.
The home page says a passed evaluation can be activated within 5–30 minutes of passing the objectives. It also says traders can start trading within 5–15 minutes after an account is purchased. A notice on the site says accounts using Rithmic are activated on Sunday prior to 5PM CST. The About page mentions same session activation of funded accounts.
The Terms of Use list the following trading conduct among their restrictions. Our saved copy includes:
The Terms also restrict “using any software, artificial intelligence, ultra-high speed, or mass data entry which might manipulate”. Our saved copy cuts off at that point, so we cannot say how this applies to automated trading in general. We did not find rules on news trading or on holding positions overnight or over the weekend in the saved pages.
The About page advertises “Daily payouts with a 90/10 split”. The help centre's platform article also says “90% profit split.” The saved pages do not say whether the split differs between programmes, and we saw no higher tier.
The home page advertises “Same-Day Payouts” and “15ish min from request to bank”. These are the firm's own claims; we have not tested them. The home page also says one of its two routes “comes with stricter rules and longer payout timelines”, while the other “offers more relaxed payout rules in the funded stage”. Our saved copy does not show clearly which route each line refers to, so payout timing may depend on the account type. The About page says: “Get paid on Day 3 with LucidPro”.
The About page says traders “Take real payouts by earning sim profits without hitting max loss limit”. The Terms of Use say “you will not be paid any remuneration or profits based on the results of your fictitious trading”. Our saved copy does not show how this clause relates to the payout programme.
The About page also mentions “Payoutmaxx and become a LucidMaxxer” and “Earn bonus capital”. The saved pages do not explain either feature, and we did not see payout minimums, payout methods or a scaling plan, so we do not describe them.
The firm's pages describe futures trading: the Risk Disclosure Statement refers to “a simulated futures trading environment”. It also says Lucid provides access to a variety of simulated markets and instruments. The saved pages did not list individual contracts. Position sizes are set in minis or micros per account, as shown in the rules table.
The help centre says: “Lucid Trading platforms include NinjaTrader, TradingView, Tradovate, Tradesea, Sierra Chart, and more.” The same article lists MotiveWave and Quantower as Lucid partner platforms and R|Trader Pro as the official Rithmic platform. It groups platforms under CQG and Rithmic, and advertises “10+ platforms.” The article says “All listed platforms work with all Lucid account types.”
The About page says traders can monitor progress in real time on a dashboard. It also lists “24-hour support from human, 5 days a week”.
The Terms of Use are “entered into by and between you and Lucid Trading Group LLC”. The site gives the address 3500 S Dupont Hwy, Dover DE 19901. The Risk Disclosure Statement says Lucid Trading Group, LLC “was created to fund and educate traders” through a learn-by-doing approach in a simulated futures trading environment.
Simulated accounts. The Terms of Use state that trading through the firm's services “is not real” and that “the funds provided to you for simulated trading are fictitious”. The home page, however, also says “we transition you to a live brokerage account funded with our capital”, and the help centre lists a live trading programme and LucidMaxx, described as a straight to live program. Our saved pages do not say when, or on what terms, a trader moves to a live account.
Regulatory status. The Terms of Use say the firm is not a “Broker-Dealer” as that term is used in United States financial services regulations, and that its website, software and services are not investment services.
Who can sign up. The Terms of Use say: “We provide this Website for use only by persons located in the United States.” They also include a requirement to “be a U.S. citizen or legal U.S. resident 18 years old or older”. Elsewhere they refer to activities that “are being performed and will be performed from outside the United States.” Our saved copy does not show the context of these clauses, so we cannot confirm whether traders outside the United States are accepted. We did not see a published list of restricted countries.
Refunds. The refund policy says the company maintains a strict no refund policy for accounts that have been traded, and that starting any trading activity, simulated or otherwise, waives any right to a refund. It says the company may, at its sole discretion, consider refund requests for accounts that have never been traded, and refunds in exceptional circumstances. Refund eligibility does not apply to account violations, disqualifications or breaches of the Terms of Use.
Lucid Trading is aimed at futures traders and, per its Terms of Use, at persons located in the United States. It may suit traders who prefer a one-time account fee to a monthly subscription. Traders who do not want a consistency rule can look at LucidPro or LucidFlex, whose product pages show none; LucidDirect skips the evaluation but costs more upfront, and its 25K and 50K pages show a 20% consistency rule and a trading-days figure. Traders who hedge, microscalp or use high-frequency methods should read the Terms first, as these are listed among disruptive practices.
MyPropGenius Rating:
The rating measures how openly Lucid Trading discloses its rules, pricing, payouts and ownership (our Transparency Index methodology). It does not measure how likely you are to pass or be paid.
The legal pages name Lucid Trading Group LLC with a Delaware address (no registration number or explicit jurisdiction statement), and say it is not a broker-dealer and that all trading is simulated with fictitious funds. But the homepage FAQ says traders move to 'a live brokerage account funded with our capital', which leaves the account type unclear. A dedicated Refund & Liability Policy states a strict no-refund rule once an account has been traded; refunds for untraded accounts are only 'considered' at the firm's sole discretion, and no processing time is given. The homepage makes only aggregate claims; we found no payout list, certificates or dated records on the pages we read.
Its Transparency Index score is 52/100 (Mixed). This review describes what the firm publishes; we do not verify payouts or test accounts.

We have no commercial relationship with Lucid Trading. Links to its website are not affiliate links.
Lucid Trading sells futures evaluation and Straight-to-Funded accounts for a one-time fee and states a 90/10 profit split. Its Terms of Use describe trading as simulated, restrict the website to persons located in the United States and list hedging, microscalping and high-frequency trading among disruptive practices. Prices were not visible in our saved pages and the firm's pages disagree on the LucidFlex 100K daily loss limit, so check the current product page before buying.
