Overview

PropEd Capital sells simulated futures evaluations and simulated-funded accounts. Its plans page lists five programmes: One Plan, Standard Evaluation, TrueRisk Evaluation, Instant Funded and TrueRisk Instant Funded. The firm says it "provides simulated evaluation programs for educational purposes only" and that "no live funds are traded during the evaluation process".

Its Terms name the operator as PropEd Capital LLC of Lansing, Michigan, United States. The plans page describes its prices as one-time pricing. Trading runs on the Onyx web platform, Nexus Connect or Volumetrica, and the firm says all accounts run on Rithmic infrastructure. Targets, drawdowns, consistency rules and payout limits differ by programme, so we set them out programme by programme below.

Everything in this review comes from PropEd Capital's own web pages, saved on 10 October 2026. Rules and prices change, so check the firm's site before you buy.

Key Highlights

✅ Pros

  • The plans page describes its prices as one-time pricing.
  • The TrueRisk Evaluation and TrueRisk Instant Funded programmes use a static drawdown.
  • The One Plan page states a 100% profit share with weekly payouts from period profit.
  • The Terms permit news trading, intraday trading and weekday swing or overnight holds.
  • Copy trading is built into the Onyx platform, and the platform page says PropEd covers Rithmic data fees and Onyx access for all traders; the Terms say these "may be included with eligible accounts".
  • The firm publishes a payout ledger that shows requested and paid amounts separately.

❌ Cons

  • Weekend holds require an add-on or an account configuration that expressly allows them.
  • Holding opposing positions in the same instrument (hedging) is not allowed.
  • Refunds are only for orders with no trade placed, requested within 14 days, and the firm keeps a 10% processing fee.
  • The homepage says: "Withdraw all or part of your balance: 3.5% fee, $250 minimum, processed by our payout team." It does not say which balance this applies to.
  • Prices are shown as two unlabelled figures, and the second figure differs between pages.
  • The One Plan page says there is no daily loss limit but also describes one.

Programmes and Prices

PropEd sells three evaluation programmes and two funded programmes. The homepage lists Standard Eval, One Plan and TrueRisk Eval as evaluations, and Instant Funded and TrueRisk Instant Funded as funded options. The plan pages say current prices come from the firm's Nexus catalogue, and the plans page describes them as one-time pricing.

TrueRisk Instant FundedFunded$2,500, $5,000, $7,500, $10,000$799 (2.5k) to $1,999 (10k)

Two figures per price. Each price on the plan pages is shown as two figures side by side, and the pages do not label either figure. The second, lower figure is not the same on every page. The FAQ lists single prices, such as $109, $249, $599 and $1,095. In the table above we show the first figure. The plan pages say "Your checkout summary and account agreement control."

Subscriptions and add-ons. Separately from plan prices, the Terms describe monthly subscriptions for real-time CME Level 2 market data and for an Inactivity Rule Waiver, which renew monthly until cancelled. Weekend holds need an add-on (see Restrictions below).

Trading Rules by Programme

Where a programme has several account sizes, we show the lowest and highest drawdown figure on its page; our saved copies do not let us match every figure to a size. We also leave out per-size profit targets, buffers and payout figures, because our saved copies do not show reliably which column each bare figure belongs to.

ProgrammeDrawdown figures shownEval / Funded consistency
Standard Evaluation$1,000 to $6,000 (eod)40% / 40%
One Plan$37,500 (eod); "5% trailing max loss"0% / 33%
TrueRisk Evaluation$1,250 to $10,000 (Static)0% / 40%
Instant Funded$2,500 to $7,500 (eod)20% / 20%
TrueRisk Instant Funded$2,500 to $10,000 (Static)20% / 20%

Drawdown. The Standard Evaluation, One Plan and Instant Funded tables mark drawdown as "eod" (end of day), and the site's page descriptions mention "EOD-only drawdown". The One Plan page calls its limit a "5% trailing max loss". The homepage marks both TrueRisk programmes as "Static drawdown".

Daily loss limit. The site's page descriptions say there is "no daily loss limit". The One Plan page says this too, but it also describes "a daily loss limit that keeps a single session from ending the account".

Consistency. The plan tables have an "Eval / Funded Consistency" column. Our saved pages show the percentages but not how the rule is calculated. The platform page says the dashboard lets you "See whether you're meeting your consistency rule before you place your next trade".

One Plan. The One Plan page describes "One rule set, Nexus Connect only: 5% trailing max loss, 7% target," with "weekly payouts from period profit, 100% profit share,".

Other columns. The TrueRisk Instant Funded page's table also has "Profit Target", "Buffer", "Min Payout" and "Payout Cap" columns. The platform page says you can request a payout once you have "met the withdrawal buffer and any applicable waiting period".

Contract limits. The plans page lists contract limits ranging from "1 minis / 15 micros" to "75 minis / 750 micros".

Restrictions and Prohibited Strategies

News and overnight holds. The Terms say: "News trading, intraday trading, and weekday swing or overnight holds are permitted". They also say PropEd "does not apply the stale blanket rule that all simulated positions must close daily at 3:45 PM Eastern."

Weekend holds. The trading-rules FAQ says "Weekend Holds require an add-on." The Terms say weekend holds require "the applicable add-on or an account configuration that expressly allows them". The FAQ warns that "risk management systems, auto-liquidation, and stop-losses are not active during market close".

Hedging. The FAQ says: "No. You cannot hold opposing positions in the same instrument simultaneously". The Terms say suspected hedging "is flagged for human review before enforcement", and that permanent customer bans are reserved for confirmed fraud.

Automation and copy trading. The Terms say: "Copy trading and automated strategies may be used only where supported and permitted." The FAQ refers to "Copy Trading (built into Onyx)". It also mentions "EAs / Bots / Automated", but our saved copy does not show what it says about them for each programme.

Other conduct. The Terms list conduct the firm does not allow, including "Latency, price-feed, off-market-quote, platform-error, or rule-difference exploitation", "Front-running, insider information, collusive trading, account-passing services, or performance manipulation" and "Coordinating offsetting positions across PropEd accounts, other customers, or another firm." They also say PropEd "may restrict tools that strain systems, manipulate execution, bypass risk controls".

Payouts and Scaling

Profit split

The One Plan page states a "100% profit share" with "weekly payouts from period profit". The platform page says "Withdraw up to 80% of simulated profits" but does not say which programme this applies to. Our saved copies of the other plan pages do not state a profit split.

Requesting a payout

The platform page says: "Once you've met the withdrawal buffer and any applicable waiting period, you can submit a payout request", and that payout eligibility is shown live on the dashboard. The Terms say "Nexus determines when an account may submit a payout request", and that a valid dashboard-eligible request will be paid, subject to conditions that include identity, sanctions, tax and payment-destination requirements. The payouts page says "PropEd pays every approved payout in full" and that "a request that does not meet the published eligibility rules is declined and the trader is told why".

Payout speed

The site's page descriptions say "payouts processed within 24 hours", and the homepage shows a "Live average payout time". The Terms say the processing speed shown on the public site "is a live historical average, not a deadline" and that "Extended reviews may take longer."

Withdrawals

The homepage refers to a wallet, with "1 credit = $1", and says "Credits never expire". It says you can "request a withdrawal to Rise, Wise or USDC whenever you like". It also says: "Withdraw all or part of your balance: 3.5% fee, $250 minimum, processed by our payout team." It does not say which balance this applies to, and our saved copy does not show how this fits with the payout rules of each programme.

Payout ledger

The payouts page lists recent payouts and says "Requested and paid amounts are shown separately." The firm's page states "Total paid $331,703.44"; this is the firm's own figure. It adds that "Payout history does not guarantee future results."

Live accounts and scaling

The Terms say evaluation and sim-funded activity "is simulated unless a trader is separately approved". The homepage describes a live stage: "The live balance is multiplied by the number of sim-funded accounts with at least 1 payout at the time of the 4th payout", and "Combined live balance is always capped at $10,000." It also says that in some cases traders "must restart at the beginning of the funding evaluation path"; our saved copy does not show which cases. The platform page mentions "Scaling rewards as your account grows", but our copies give no further detail of a scaling plan.

Platforms and Markets

The firm says you can "Trade on Onyx, Nexus Connect, or Volumetrica". The About page says "Onyx is our professional-grade web-based trading environment, powered by TradingView's advanced charting and brokerage API." The platform page describes Onyx as "a professional-grade web-based trading platform". The One Plan is "Nexus Connect only".

The About page says "All PropEd accounts run on the Rithmic infrastructure". The platform page says traders may use "R Trader Pro or any other Rithmic-approved third-party trading screen", and describes order-flow and volume-profile analysis "powered by dxFeed market data".

Platform and data fees. The platform page says "PropEd covers Rithmic data fees and Onyx access for all traders" and "Setup and platform fees are the trader's responsibility." The Terms are less definite: "Onyx access and Rithmic data may be included with eligible accounts." They add that real-time CME market data "is licensed and requires a subscriber self-certification".

Markets. PropEd trades futures: it says it is "committed to discovering and funding exceptional futures traders". The trading-rules FAQ shows futures contract symbols such as ES, MES, NQ, MNQ, CL, MCL, GC, MGC, 6E, ZB, BTC and ETH; our saved copy does not show the wording around that list.

Company and Terms

Operator. The Terms name "PropEd Capital LLC, 405 W. Greenlawn Ave. #G11, Lansing, Michigan 48910, United States." The site footer gives the same address as Suite G11.

Regulatory status. The Terms say: "PropEd Capital is not a broker, investment adviser, futures commission merchant, commodity trading adviser, or exchange." The site says "We do not offer brokerage or investment services".

Simulated accounts. The platform page says: "All accounts are simulated funded accounts. No live capital is traded." It also says "All payouts are distributions from PropEd Capital LLC's simulated program, not proceeds from live trading activity."

Refunds. The Terms say a purchase is eligible for a refund when no trade has been placed on the account and the request is made within 14 days of purchase. PropEd keeps a processing fee of 10% of the order total, and a refund applies to the whole order rather than a single account. A funded account earned by passing an evaluation is not eligible for a refund.

Eligibility. You must be at least 18, and the Terms say you are responsible for confirming that futures-related services and payouts are lawful in your country. The restricted-countries FAQ says residents and nationals of the countries it lists cannot register or hold accounts, and that the list may change with international sanctions and regulatory guidance. Our saved copy does not include the list itself.

Payments and support. The About page mentions payment options "including cards, bank transfers, and crypto". Support is available "by email or through your Nexus dashboard". The firm also says it runs "periodic simulated trading competitions open to all active account holders".

Who It Suits

PropEd Capital may suit futures traders who want a one-time fee, an end-of-day or static drawdown, and a choice between an evaluation and a directly funded account, and who are happy to trade on Onyx, Nexus Connect, Volumetrica or a Rithmic-approved screen. Traders who want to hold positions over the weekend need an add-on, and hedging in the same instrument is not allowed. Drawdowns, consistency rules and payout terms vary by programme, and some pages disagree on prices and on the One Plan daily loss limit, so read the page for your plan and the checkout summary before you buy.

⚖️ Our Verdict

PropEd Capital sells five simulated futures programmes for one-time fees, with end-of-day or static drawdowns, on Onyx, Nexus Connect or Volumetrica over Rithmic. Its plan pages give drawdown and consistency figures for each programme, but prices are shown as two unlabelled figures that differ between pages, and only the One Plan page states a profit split for a named programme. Check your plan's page and the checkout summary before buying.
