Overview

Orion Funded sells evaluation programmes and an instant account, all on simulated accounts. Its help centre says 'Orion offers five programs': Orion Zero, Orion Nova, Orion Standard, Orion Swing and Orion Select. Orion Zero has no evaluation phase. Orion Nova has one evaluation phase. Orion Standard and Orion Swing are two account modes of a two-phase evaluation. Orion Select has three phases.

Trading is on MetaTrader 5 or MatchTrader. The site names Orion Global FZCO, which it says provides simulated trading services and does not act as a broker. Every programme starts at an 80% reward. The scaling plan can raise this to 90%.

We wrote this review from the firm's own website and help centre only. Some of our saved pages gave figures without saying which programme they belong to. Where that happened we left the figure out or say so.

Everything in this review comes from Orion Funded's own web pages, saved on 10 October 2026. Rules and prices change, so check the firm's site before you buy.

Key Highlights

✅ Pros

  • Five programmes: an instant account (Zero) and one-, two- and three-phase evaluations.
  • The programme pages show no time limit on the evaluations.
  • Holding positions overnight and over weekends is permitted on every programme.
  • The reward starts at 80% and can rise to 90% through the scaling plan.
  • The help centre sets out how the daily loss, drawdown types, leverage and commissions work.

❌ Cons

  • News trading as a strategy is prohibited on every programme, and funded accounts on some programmes face restrictions around high-impact events; our copy does not tie these rules to named programmes.
  • Orion Zero and Orion Nova funded accounts use a trailing-lock drawdown; on Nova funded accounts floating profit can move the floor.
  • Leverage is lower on Swing and Select (forex 1:30) and cannot be changed by the trader.
  • Swap-free accounts are not a standard option.
  • The site's pages disagree on the maximum allocation and on the Nova payout frequency.

Programmes and Prices

Prices are in US dollars. Our copies of the 2-step, 0-step and Nova pages did not show clearly which price goes with which account size, so we give the range each page shows.

  • The 2-step (Orion Standard) page lists prices from $49 to $1149.
  • The 3-step (Orion Select) page lists prices from $59 to $739, for accounts from $5,000 to $200,000.
  • The 0-step (Orion Zero) page lists prices from $199 to $1149, for accounts up to $100,000.
  • The Orion Nova page shows 'Start for $7', followed by amounts from $69 to $1,099.

Orion Nova works on a pay-after-you-pass basis: you pay $7 to start and an activation fee after you pass, with accounts up to 200k. Our copies of the programme pages do not say whether the other prices are one-time or recurring. The homepage shows one price card marked 'One-time · Refundable · For New Users'. Our copy does not show which account that card belongs to. The site also showed a limited-time bundle offer for buying several accounts. We could not see the checkout page, so check the final price there.

We did not see a price list for Orion Swing.

The homepage instead says 'Four Programs Available' and lists 'Orion Zero, Lite, Standard/Swing & Select Programs'. It also shows 'Orion Lite Standard · Evaluation · Phase 1 · $200,000 · MT5'. The homepage list names Lite and does not name Nova. We found no description of Orion Lite beyond the homepage.

Trading Rules by Programme

The table uses each programme page's own figures.

Orion Zero (0-step page)None (no evaluation)Not shown in a form we could tie to the figure6%No minimumUnlimited
Orion Nova4%Not shown in our copy8% (5% once funded)No minimumUnlimited

The profit-target FAQ says to trade on at least 4 separate days on Orion Standard, Orion Swing or Orion Select. Our copy of the help centre did not show Orion Swing's profit targets and loss limits in a way we could tie to Swing, so we leave them out. Targets are calculated on the account balance at the start of each phase. Only closed profit counts towards a target. The 2-step page says the funded stage has no profit target.

Daily loss

The daily loss limit caps how far equity can fall in one calendar day. It is measured from the greater of the previous day's closing balance or closing equity. It resets at midnight UTC. Realised losses, floating losses on open positions, swaps and commissions all count. A floating loss can breach the limit before the trade is closed.

Maximum drawdown

The help centre's programmes page says Orion has two drawdown types and which one applies depends on the programme. The maximum drawdown floor never resets. One type is static: the floor is set once from the initial balance and never moves. The other is a trailing lock, which follows the high-water mark up until the floor reaches the starting balance and then locks there. The trailing lock is 6% on Orion Zero and 5% on Orion Nova funded accounts. On Orion Zero the high-water mark uses balance, so only closed trades move it. On Orion Nova funded accounts it uses equity, so floating profit can move the floor.

The FAQ ties the trailing lock to Orion Zero and Orion Nova funded accounts. Our copy does not tie the static type to named programmes in its own words, so check which drawdown applies to your programme.

Best Day Rule

A Best Day Rule applies to Orion Zero and Orion Nova funded accounts. The 3-step page says 'No Best Day Rule'. We could not see the rule's details.

Restrictions and Prohibited Strategies

News

The news-trading FAQ says the rules differ between evaluation and funded phases and between programmes. During evaluations you can trade freely around scheduled events. News trading as a strategy is prohibited across all programmes and phases.

For funded accounts the page lists a '2-min restriction window before and after any high-impact event', with 'No opens, closes, modifications, or stop orders during this window'. It also lists a case where trading is 'Permitted at all times, but trades opened or closed within 5 min of a high-impact event' 'are rewarded at a 50% split instead of 80%'. Our copy of the page does not show clearly which programme each of these funded-stage rules belongs to. Breaches can lead to profit being adjusted or voided, and repeated breaches can deactivate the funded account. The page points traders to the trading policies in the dashboard.

Prohibited practices

The prohibited-practices page holds the full list of forbidden practices. Among the items it lists:

  • It lists holding opposite positions across different accounts; opposing positions within one account are permitted.
  • EAs or robots that generate more than 2,000 server requests per day are not permitted.
  • It bars software, AI or ultra-high-speed tools that manipulate, abuse or give an unfair advantage.
  • It bars strategies that take advantage of price display errors.
  • It bars opening trades to exploit price gaps, including around scheduled major news, macroeconomic events or earnings.
  • It names overleveraging, overexposure, one-sided bets and account rolling.
  • It bars strategies that spread profit across days without spreading the risk.
  • It bars repeatedly raising risk per trade to build exposure in one symbol or correlated symbols.
  • No third party may access or trade the account.

Holding positions

Holding positions overnight and over weekends is permitted on every programme.

Payouts and Scaling

Reward split

Every programme starts at an 80% reward. Through the scaling plan the reward can rise from 80% to 90%. The news page also describes a case where trades near high-impact events are rewarded at 50% instead of 80% (see Restrictions).

Payout timing

Rewards run on a 14-day cycle. The Standard, Select and Zero pages each say 'Withdrawals are every 14 calendar days.' The Orion Nova page says 'Withdrawals are daily' but also talks of withdrawing 'bi-weekly profits'. We have used the 14-day cycle, which the payouts FAQ and three programme pages give.

The programme pages promise '48h Payouts'. The homepage gives an 'Average Processing time <5h'. If the firm misses the 48-hour processing deadline, it says you receive 100% of the reward split plus the full value of your evaluation. The programme pages also show the words '100% Refund'. Our copies do not explain the conditions of that refund beyond the 48-hour guarantee, so check the terms.

On Orion Zero and Orion Nova funded accounts, the first 3% of profit is a buffer before a withdrawal can be requested. The drawdown page's example mentions a '$100 minimum withdrawal'. The help centre has a section on Rise Pay registration and verification. We could not see the payout-method or fee details.

Scaling plan

The scaling plan is open to funded accounts on any programme. To qualify in a 3-month period you need a 15% return, at least 2 of 3 months positive, and at least 3 reward requests. Each qualifying cycle raises the balance by 25%. Missing one cycle is not a permanent disqualification.

The FAQ gives a maximum allocated capital of $4,000,000. The homepage shows '$400k Max Allocation'. The two figures do not match; the scaling FAQ is the more specific page.

Platforms and Markets

Trading is on MetaTrader 5 or MatchTrader. The full symbol list is visible in MT5 or MatchTrader. You can trade forex pairs, indices, metals including gold, commodities, stocks and cryptocurrencies.

The instruments FAQ gives maximum leverage in two tiers. Orion Zero, Orion Nova and Orion Standard use the higher leverage tier; Orion Swing and Orion Select use a lower tier.

Asset classHigher tier (Zero, Nova, Standard)Lower tier (Swing, Select)Commission
Forex1:1001:30$4 per lot
Indices1:501:15No commission
Metals (incl. gold)1:301:9$4 per lot
Commodities1:3.31:3.3$4 per lot
Stocks1:11:1No commission
Cryptocurrencies1:11:1No commission

Leverage is preset by programme and asset class and cannot be changed by the trader. Orion may change leverage or commissions with prior notice, and may reduce leverage after a rule breach. Orders are filled at the best available simulated price using real market price data. Swap-free accounts are not available as a standard option. The terms page says the platforms and data feed are powered by third-party providers.

Company and Terms

The site says Orion Global FZCO provides simulated trading services and educational tools for traders only. It says Orion Global FZCO does not act as a broker and does not accept deposits. The site also names OGM International Ltd., registered at Unit 1, La Place Creole, Rodney Bay Village, Gros Islet, Saint Lucia. Our copy does not explain how the two companies relate. All accounts are demo accounts with fictitious funds and trading is simulated.

The site says its information is not directed at residents of any jurisdiction where its use would be contrary to applicable laws or regulations. We did not find a published list of restricted countries, and our copies do not say whether US residents are accepted. Our copy of the terms page did not include the full terms.

The FAQ says the firm has operated since 2023 and served over 150,000 clients in 160+ countries. The programme pages give different payout totals: 'Over $6.6 million distributed', '$6M+ Paid in rewards' and 'PAYOUTS PROCESSED $3.2M+'. These are the firm's own figures; we have not checked them.

Who It Suits

Orion Funded may suit traders who want a choice of an instant account or a one-, two- or three-phase evaluation with no time limit, who hold positions overnight or over weekends, and who trade forex, indices, metals, commodities, stocks or crypto on MT5 or MatchTrader. It is less suited to traders who trade news releases as a strategy, who want high leverage on Swing or Select (forex is capped at 1:30 there), or who need swap-free accounts as standard. Traders on Zero or Nova funded accounts should note the trailing-lock drawdown and the Best Day Rule.
