Overview

Halcyon Trader Funding is a futures prop firm run by Halcyon Trader Funding LLC. Its site describes "Futures prop accounts with instant funding." The homepage promotes evaluation accounts and reward accounts with the line "Pass Evaluation Account Today, Trade Reward Account Today". It also runs Halcyon Arena, which the homepage calls "daily session battles, same-day rewards".

Its trader agreement sets a 90% / 10% profit split in the trader's favour, a $250 minimum reward and a $60,000 lifetime cap on simulated rewards. Its billing policy says all accounts are one-time fee purchases and are non-refundable.

Our copy of the site is thin. The account sizes, prices, profit targets and loss limits for the evaluation and reward accounts were not in the pages we saved, so this review is shorter than usual and says where we could not see something.

Everything in this review comes from Halcyon Trader Funding's own web pages, saved on 10 October 2026. Rules and prices change, so check the firm's site before you buy.

Programmes and Prices

The homepage names two stages: an evaluation account and a reward account. The billing policy says accounts "may or may not require additional fees to upgrade if the user successfully completes certain stages".

We could not see how many stages each evaluation has, the account sizes on offer, their prices, profit targets, daily loss limits or drawdown rules. The homepage FAQ includes a question about monthly rebills, but the answers were not in our copy.

The billing policy says all accounts are one-time fee purchases and "are not subject to automatic or recurring billing cycles like subscription plans."

Halcyon Arena

The Arena agreement calls it "a daily simulated trading competition operated by Halcyon Trader Funding LLC". The Arena account is described as a "100K simulated account, $4,000 static drawdown", with "$41 entry with promo code". The $41 figure is a promotional price; we did not see the Arena price without a code.

A session runs from 6:00 PM Eastern Time to 5:00 PM Eastern Time the next calendar day, and each Arena account expires at the end of its session. Arena purchases are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. The prize pool is funded by a split of qualifying Arena purchases, and prizes are paid through Rise.

Trading Rules

The trader agreement defines a trading day as one where a position is opened and closed in the same session.

Any account that trades more than 250 contracts in a day (Micro, Mini or a mix) is reviewed by the firm's Risk & Compliance Team. The firm says it may then "delete the trading day and any associated profits and/or restart the account and/or close the account". Its policy pages add that repeat violations may lead to a ban from all or part of its site and services.

Under "Trade Size Stability & Anti-Manipulation", traders must keep a consistent trade size aligned with their evaluation behaviour. A cut of more than 40% from the prior average size may trigger review and action at the firm's discretion.

The billing policy says any account inactive for more than 28 days will be disabled. Only the individual named on the account may trade it. The homepage says there are "No minimum trade hold times".

We could not see profit targets, daily loss limits, minimum trading days or time limits for the evaluation or reward accounts.

Restrictions and Prohibited Strategies

  • News: The trader agreement bans straddles, strangles and directional positioning related to economic news releases. The homepage, by contrast, says news trading is allowed. We treat the trader agreement as the rule because it is the more specific document.
  • Automation: The terms and conditions say "Fully automated trading is strictly prohibited", including continuous, unattended systems running 24/7. The trader agreement says semi-automated tools may be used only under continuous manual supervision by the trader. The trader agreement also has a clause on automation that names bots, algorithms and HFT; check its full wording before using any automated tool.
  • Copying and hedging: The terms say "Trade copiers are permissible within this framework". The trader agreement says no third-party trading, copying or coordinated group behaviour, such as hedging across accounts, is permitted. It also says the firm may copy the trader's trades or create sub-accounts with or without notice.
  • Volume and conduct: The 250-contract policy says it exists to mitigate prohibited conduct, gambling behaviour and exploitation of the simulated trading environment. The firm says it may limit the number of trading accounts a trader has at any time.

We could not see rules on weekend or overnight holding in our copy.

Payouts

The trader agreement sets the profit share at "Trader: 90% / Company: 10%." The homepage also shows "90/10 - Trade to Paid, your profits are yours".

ItemTrader agreement
Profit splitTrader 90% / Company 10%
Minimum reward$250
Lifetime cap$60,000 across all simulated accounts
MethodRise; trader pays the fees
FrequencySet per account in the FAQ (not in our copy)

The minimum reward is $250. Rewards across all simulated accounts are capped at $60,000 for life. All rewards are processed through Rise, and the trader pays onboarding, transaction, processing, conversion and international transfer fees.

The agreement allows one reward request every set number of trading days, depending on the account, and points to the FAQ for the current reward structure. The FAQ answers were not in our copy, so we cannot give the number of days per account. The homepage says: "pass your evaluation and trade on day one, trade days two through five, and your reward payout unlocks on day six."

The firm may delay, reduce or deny rewards for incomplete KYC, rule violations, delayed documentation or suspected fraud or manipulation. Moving to a Live Brokerage Account is at the sole discretion of Halcyon Trader Funding LLC.

We did not see a scaling plan in our copy.

Platforms and Markets

The site lists "Volumetrica on dxFeed data, or Rithmic via TradeSea, R|Trader Pro, TradingView and Quantower." Some of its pages give the same list without TradingView.

It says DeepCharts is "included free with every Volumetrica account purchase", and that "Every Halcyon Account comes FREE with EDGE", a tool it says is "built for our traders by professional traders." The terms strongly recommend using a desktop or laptop for trading.

Traders may trade only products listed on CME, COMEX, NYMEX and CBOT, or products available through its programme vendors or platforms.

Company and Terms

The site says Halcyon Trader Funding LLC is incorporated in Michigan, USA, with offices in White Lake, Michigan and Fargo, North Dakota. It gives a registered office at 340 Town Center Blvd, Suite E102-179, White Lake, MI 48386, and a Michigan incorporation ID of 803303312.

The trader agreement refers to "Sim Accounts, Live Brokerage Accounts". Its disclosures say "Any compensation may represent simulated accounts or live brokerage accounts." and "At no time do you risk your own capital."

The billing policy says "All sales are final." and that there are no partial refunds or refunds of any kind. There is no cancellation option, because there is no subscription period. The trader agreement adds that a cancelled account cannot be reactivated. The user agrees not to dispute any charges.

The terms say the site "can be accessed by most countries around the world". We did not see a list of restricted countries or a statement on US residents in our copy.

Who It Suits

Halcyon may suit a futures trader who trades by hand on CME, COMEX, NYMEX or CBOT products, accepts one-time non-refundable fees and is comfortable with a $60,000 lifetime reward cap. It is a poor fit for fully automated strategies or news straddles, which its terms prohibit.

Because we could not see prices, targets or drawdowns for the evaluation accounts, check those on the firm's checkout before buying.
